Patrícia is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle. Her work is focused on social robotics, health, and design. Patrícia was involved in the organization committees of the HRI Conference 2020, HRI Pioneers 2017, RSS Pioneers 2019, AI for HRI Symposium, among others. She has published in conferences such as HRI, DIS, RSS, and IROS, and her work received the Best Paper Awards in the HRI Conference in 2020 and 2016.

Mafalda is a PhD student at Chalmers University of Technology, where she conducts research on social drones from a research through design (RtD) and critical design perspective.

nikolas martelaro

Carnegie Mellon University, Human-Computer Interaction Institute, USA

Nikolas is an Assistant Professor at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. His work focuses on developing new design methods and tools to support the human-centered design of interactive devices. Such work includes developing methods of remote Wizard-of-Oz need finding and interaction prototyping of speech-based and physically interactive systems. Along with collaborators at CMU, he is currently doing co-design work with the local Pittsburgh community to explore the design of new mobility services such as autonomous vehicles, e-scooters, and personal delivery robots. He has published in conferences such as HRI, DIS, CHI, and CSCW.
